New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry and Mercurius Shipbuilding have once again joined hands to sign contract for a 135-meter duplex stainless steel chemical tanker

Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding") welcomed its first order of the year in 2025 with a successful signing on January 14th, securing a contract for the construction of a 135-meter double-phase stainless steel chemical tanker, from Dutch shipowner Mercurius Shipping Group. This signing not only marks New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding first order of 2025 but also represents another close collaboration based on long-term mutual trust and cooperation.

The signing ceremony was held at Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, where General Manager Wu Qiuping and Robert-Jan Zimmerman of Mercurius Shipbuilding signed the contract on behalf of both sides.

MERCURIUS, established as a Dutch family business in 1983, has significant influence in the inland waterway logistics sector in Europe, particularly through its substantial newbuilding project developments and own investments in stainless steel chemical tankers. This renewed collaboration with New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding fully demonstrates MERCURIUSs high recognition of New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding manufacturing quality and delivery reliability.
